Two textbooks by Wiltrud Terlau, professor at IZNE, Reiner Clement, professor at BRSU, and Manfred Kiy, professor at Cologne University of Applied Sciences have been credited by the German UNESCO-commission within the scope of the UN decade "Education for Sustainable Development".
The 5th edition of the textbook on applied macro economics "Angewandte Makroökonomie. Makroökonomie, Wirtschaftspolitik und nachhaltige Entwicklung mit Fallbeispielen" aims to prepare students for the global challenges facing the economy, society, and the environment. Sustainable Development is explicitly integrated.
The second textbook on sustainability ecnomics "Nachhaltigkeitsökonomie", has recently been published by the Berliner Wissenschafts-Verlag. The authors link the traditional three dimensions of economy, ecology, and society with actors of sustainable development. They present the fundamentals and case studies of economic, ecologic, and social dimensions of sustainability.
